Ujigami shrine

I went to the Ujigami Shrine ( 宇治上神社) in Uji Kyoto.

It is one of 17 temples, shrines and a castle which received joint designation as world heritage/cultural heritage sites in ancient Kyoto city.

There is still famous clear water running from the Kiriharasui spring on the precincts of this shrine.

And also there is a big sacred zelkova tree which is approximately 330 years old.

This shrine is located along the Sawarabi Path.
It is quiet and the atmosphere is good.

There are the famous temple “Byodoin” and the Uji River nearby.
