This is Umemiya Taisha Shrine.
It is the oldest famous place which has plum trees in Kyoto.
People liked plum tree because the flowers are beautiful and smell good, and it’s seeds were used as medicine since the Heian era.
Umemiya Taisha shrine has more than 550 trees of 40 kinds.
You can enjoy those from mid February to mid March.
People pray at the shrine to have children and an easy delivery.
Plum blossoms are beautiful.
