Tofukuji temple

And I went to Tofukuji temple in Kyoto.

It is famous for Autumn leaves.

Those are very beautiful.

It has 25 sub temples.

Tentokuin, which I posted yesterday,  is one of them.

You can go there from Tofukuji station of the Keihan or JR train.

If you are in Japan in autumn,  it is good to visit there.

Though it will be crowded with tourists.

Tentokuin

Tentokuin in Kyoto is famous for its  Platycodon grandiflorum flowers.

The garden is opened to the public only when they are blooming.

This year (2017) it is from June 25 to July 10.

Today I visited there.

It was little bit early.

The maccha tea and a sweet which is shaped like the Platycodon grandiflorum were both good.

Dublinia and Christ Church Cathedral (Ireland)

And we visited Dublinia and the Christ Church Cathedral.

Things about Dublin of  from the Viking age to Dissolution of the Monasteries by Henry VIII in 1540 are  introduced at Dublinia.

You can go to Christ Church Cathedral by bridge.

National Leprechaun Museum (Ireland)

We went to the Nathional Leprechaun Museum in Dublin.

You can visit several rooms and hear  tradition, legends, folklore and old stories from Ireland.

It was a little difficult for me to understand.

The guide told us that most of the old stories didn’t have happy endings, but after Christans like St. Patrick came into Ireland they changed them to have happy endings.

Leprechauns are elfs in Ireland and are like national mascots.

You can spot them because of their green hats.
