Yesterday was Uminohi.
It is the day of the ocean.
It was a holiday in Japan.
I swam in the ocean in front of my house.
Today is the day that marks exactly one year of posting this daily blog.
I continued this English blog every day for one year.
Thank you very much to everyone who read and liked my blog.
I can’t believe 180 people followed it!
I may not post everyday like I did this past year.
But please check it sometimes.
I am very glad I could show many people outside my country my own travels in Japan
Thank you so much.
By the way, this photo is of the sunset near my house the other day.
Taketomi island in Okinawa was my favorite island.
It has old pure Okinawan atmosphere.
The roof tiles are red, with Seesaa on top.
It feels like time passes slowly here.
And bougainvilleas, which bloom in tropical places, are all over.
At Iriomotejima island we took a river boat through the mangrove forest.
At Kohamarina, which is a small island, we rented mini bikes.
It was fun.
This is my last post about Okinawa now.
Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium is located in Ocean Expo park.
It is a one of the popular places to visit in northern Okinawa.
There are whale sharks, which is the world’s largest fish, and Manta alfredi, which was bred successfully for the first time in the world.
And at the park, you can visit a Native Okinawan village.
I liked seeing the old houses of Okinawa.
And there are gardens, museums and more.
I enjoyed the planetarium too.
